Shopper Limits to Be Implemented: One Shopper Per Household

In a continuing effort to encourage social distancing, starting today, Price Cutter will began limiting the number of customers inside our stores by asking that there be only one shopper per household when possible.

While it is our hope that customers will understand and abide by this policy, we also recognize that there are situations where it is simply not possible – be it a single parent who has no childcare options, an elderly customer who needs assistance from a friend or relative, or a customer with other needs. Our store teams are being asked to exercise judgment in these situations, in order to ensure that all of our customers are able to complete their shopping trip, while also balancing that with the need to ensure that we are doing all that we can to increase the practice of safe social distancing. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Dear Customers,

We are continuing to monitor the situation closely and we are following recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We have implemented several policy changes for our associates, including travel restrictions, cancellations of conferences or other group gatherings, and postponing or canceling meetings that involve more than 10 people.

Our associates continue to work hard to ensure our customers have access to the food, services and products they need during these troubling times. We ask that you continue to be patient and be kind to one another. We all need to share responsibility and purchase what we need, knowing we will continue to replenish. We will be here when you need us!
We are enforcing personal hygiene techniques that are most effective at combating viruses, such as hand washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. We have also advised associates who are feeling ill to stay home. We have begun installing plexiglass shields at all checkouts to ensure the safety of both our associates and customers. We are closing all our stores at 9pm to allow the stores more time to clean, sanitize and restock the store.

We have dedicated the 1st hour of business to our seniors, expectant mothers and our immune compromised customers. This will allow them to shop ahead of the crowds.

We have expanded our popular curbside pick-up service to the following communities effective March 30th. (Marshfield, Lebanon, West Plains, Aurora, Monett, Clinton, Waynesville in Missouri). We have also increased the number of pickups due to the high demand in the Springfield, Republic, Nixa and Ozark markets. We have partnered with carGo to help us reach even more of our customers in the Springfield Metro area.

We are extending an invitation to all first responders, frontline health care workers and medical research teams to enjoy a free tall brewed coffee (hot or iced) on us. Please visit any of our Starbucks locations in Price Cutter and Country Mart stores.

We have reached out to many local restaurants and have partnered with several to allow them to sell their popular foods inside of our stores. We have hired many of their associates to assist and ensure that they can continue to provide for their families.

We encourage everyone to visit the CDC’s website for up-to-date information on how to keep you and your family safe. Meanwhile, we will continue to focus on keeping our associates healthy and our stores open and stocked. Again, we will be here when you need us.

Sincerely,

Erick Taylor

[March 19, 2020]

Dear Customers,

As COVID-19 has begun to spread in the United States, we know that many of you have already taken steps to ensure your family’s well-being. I want to assure you that Pyramid Foods is committed to be your partner in keeping you, your family, and all our associates safe and healthy.

We’ve been monitoring the situation closely and are following recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We’re implementing several changes for our associates, including travel restrictions, cancellations of conferences or other group gatherings, and postponings or cancelling meetings that involve large numbers.

Within our stores, we’re focused on protecting your health and the health of our associates. We practice rigorous cleaning procedures throughout the entire store -- from the entryway where we offer sanitizing wipes, to well-maintained bathrooms, to regular sanitized PIN pads, grocery conveyor belts and other surfaces that people touch frequently. Our food safety practices are also exhaustive and thorough.

We strictly enforce personal hygiene techniques that are most effective at combating viruses, such as hand washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. We’ve also advised associates who are feeling ill to stay home.

Our team is also working hard to help you with your needs at home. As customers are focused on keeping their families well, we’ve experienced high demand for products such as cleaning supplies and hand santiziers. We’re working closely with our suppliers to provide you with products you need, as soon as they’re available. We’re searching widely for new sources of supplies and stores have implemented a purchase limit on certain items to ensure that product remains available.

Please be assured that we’re closely following developments and will respond quickly as circumstances change. The health of you, your family, our associates and our communities are our first priority.

We’ve decided, like many others in our industry, to temporarily suspend in-store food and beverage demostrations. We’ve also increased our cleaning measures and in our coffee shops we’ve temporarily suspended the filling of guests reuseable cups.

We’re currently reviewing our hours of operations and also the possibility of expanding our popular Curbside Pick Up Service. Please see your local store for details.
One last note, our employees here at Pyramid Foods are family. Their health and safety are critically important to us. I want to make sure they’re supported as they’re tasked with providing the items you need for your family. We’re working with our Store Directors in order to make sure employees can stay home when feeling sick or if there’s been a known risk of exposure. Please know, that if you see an employee in our store wearing a mask, it’s because they’ve requested to do so and not because they’re experiencing symptoms.

Sincerely,

Erick Taylor
