Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley, 2008

Wine has been produced in the small yet well known Napa Valley for more than 150 years. Farming and making wine here has been my family's business for over a century. During this period Napa has clearly become the preeminent wine region for Cabernet Sauvignon production in the United States. The last few decades has brought a noteworthy evolution in style to our Valley, providing a remarkable and unique Cabernet wine - stylistically dissimilar to the variety's homeland of Bordeaux. This 2008 vintage is one of my very favorites - dark, opulent, supple, and chock full of rich texture and flavor. I hope that you will enjoy this wine as much as my family enjoyed making it. - Chuck Wagner. Alcohol 15.2% by volume.
